James A. Proctor, Jr.

MADISON - James A. Proctor Jr., age 40, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born in Aurora, Ill., on March 26, 1972, the son of James Proctor and Mary Catherine Smith. James is survived by his partner of 12 years, Brian Lamphier; father, James (Claudia) Proctor Sr.; mother, Mary Catherine Smith; four brothers, Kenneth Proctor, Johnathon Hurst, Andrew Proctor and Daniel Proctor; a sister, Christina Proctor; stepsisters, Juanita Dabolt and Natasha Bassett; two nieces and a nephew; aunts, Deborah (William) Davis and Rosalie Wylie; uncles, Harold and David Woodard; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an aunt and uncle. A memorial gathering celebrating James' life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, Madison on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the James A. Proctor Jr. Memorial Fund has been established at Associated Bank.
