Irma J. Jones

DEFOREST - Irma Jones, age 64, of DeForest, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Fountainhead Homes in DeForest. She was born on March 11, 1952 in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Eugene and Johnnie (Buckley) Jackson. Irma graduated from DuSable High School in Chicago. She married Billy Jones on Dec. 31, 1985 in Chicago and in 1990 moved to Madison, Wis. Irma was known as a very loving, caring person who stood up for what she believed in. She was very strict about having good manners, being well-dressed and having a clean, well decorated house. Irma was well known for her hospitality. She loved to cook for her family and friends, often staying up all night. People would flock to her house when they heard she was cooking. She loved music, singing and dancing and working on puzzles. She looked forward to going fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved talking to people about the promise found at Revelation 21:3, 4. She had the biggest heart, putting others interests ahead of her own no matter how much pain she was in. She was always helping someone out. She will be greatly missed. Irma is survived by her husband, Billy; sons, Clinton, Burt, and Quinton; daughter, Tina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Johnnie; sisters, Juanita, Annie, Ella, Barbara, and Glenda; and brothers, Eugene, Jr. and Michael. She was preceded in death by her father and twin children. Funeral services will be held at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, 4545 E. Buckeye Rd., Madison, on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, with a talk by Duane Reed beginning at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
