Irene L. Dumbleton

MADISON - Irene Dumbleton passed on June 4, 2012. She was born in Sheraton, Iowa in 1923. She married Ross W. Dumbleton in 1940. Irene was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed doing for others and cared deeply for the common man. Her favorite pastime was shopping, often at St. Vinney's in Madison or Lake Mills. She worked for Swiss Colony for many years, forming a life-long friendship with co-workers. She will be deeply missed by her family. She is preceded in death by husband, Ross W. Dumbleton and son, Ross, the second; also her mother, Darlene Card and George Card, step-father. Those remaining are daughter, Darlene D. Virnig (Raymond); two special grandchildren, Irene Virnig-Freymiller (Kevin) and Glenn Lee Virnig, both of Madison. Irene requests any memorials be made to her family. They will be divided and donated to one of her five favorite charities. This obit was written by Irene in 2003. She requested nothing be added to her words. Here it is, in loving memory.
