Irene Alcocer

MADISON - Irene Alcocer, age 87, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Capitol Lakes Health Center, in Madison. She was born January 15, 1922 in Gomel, Belarus to Foma and Antonina (Zarovskaya) Askerko. Irene is survived by her children, Alex (Christine) Alcocer of Lake Geneva, Richard Alcocer, of Santa Ana, CA, Fred (Rosemary) Alcocer, of Mission Viejo, CA; Jeanette (John) Hario, of Maple Grove, MN; and Philip (Donna) Alcocer of Bellevue, NE; three grandsons, two granddaughters and their spouses. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur and a niece Yadviga Zernanko. Funeral services will be held at ST. PATRICKS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 E. Main St., Madison, at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 A.M until the time of service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison.
