Hobart Henry Huntington

Hobart Henry Huntington, 84, of Clinton, WI (formerly of Eau Claire) died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 quietly in his home, with his family by his side. He was born July 16, 1923 in Eau Claire, WI the son of Myron and Isabelle (Gray) Huntington. He married Helen Moe on August 8, 1955. Hobart was employed by Beneficial Finance Company of Eau Claire and Milwaukee and as an insurance agent by Lewis and Associates Central Life Assurance Company. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist church in Eau Claire where he served on many boards and committees. He was also a member of the Exchange Club in Eau Claire. Family was very important to him. Hobart enjoyed camping, yard work and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Helen, daughters, Natalie (Edward) Towle of Marinette, WI, Nanci Huntington of Neenah, WI, and Heidi (Brian) Enright of Clinton, WI. He was known as “Bumpa” to his grandchildren, Jordan, Shanna and Meagan Towle, Amanda and Justin Geissler, and Rachel and Brice Enright. Sister-in-law, Esther Garnett; nieces, Patricia Fritchler and Gloria (Dennis) Nielsen; nephews, Kent (Janice) Schmidlin, Greg (Andrea) Schmidlin, and Ronald Pederson, great nieces and nephews and his devoted cat, Missy. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Harrison Clayton Huntington; sister, Mahala Mozjewski; niece, Sharon Pederson, mother and father-in-law, Olaf and Carrie Moe; sisters-in-laws, Mildred Schmidlin and Pearl Moe; brothers-in-law, Casper Schmidlin, Charles Moe, Ronald Mojewski, and Jack Garnett. All-Faiths Funeral home of Janesville is assisting the family. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, WI. with Pastor Matt Graf officiating. A memorial service will also be held in Eau Claire at a later date
