Heidi K. Lacy

MADISON - Heidi (Koch) Lacy, age 57, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare. Heidi was born on Sept. 8, 1959 in Chicago, Ill., to Hans and Inge Koch. She was a 1977 graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe, Wis. On June 4, 1983, she married the love of her life, John Lacy. While living in Monroe, she was employed by Swiss Colony Bakery until 1985 when she opened her in-home licensed daycare. In 1995, Heidi and John and their two sons moved to Madison. She was Office Manager for Retirement Resources, LLP, the company co-founded by her husband. Heidi most loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Many of those special memories and fun times were made during her and Johns 27 years at their permanent campsite at Indian Trails Campground in Pardeeville. Heidi also loved going to UW Badger hockey and football games and of course watching the Packers. Heidi was a fierce advocate for many social issues dear to her heart, and enjoyed volunteering for many organizations. Heidi is survived by her best friend and husband, John; son, Matthew (Kimberly) Lacy and their children, Brynn and Gavin; and son, Kyle (Vinh Truong) Lacy. She is also survived by her brother, Pete (Diane) Koch and their children, Jacob and Lucas; sister, Monica (Brian) Schinderle and their children, Wil, Abby, and Nate; and sister-in-law, Sharon (Wayne McCartney) Lacy. Heidi was preceded in death by her loving parents. Per Heidis wishes, instead of a funeral, there is a celebration of life gathering for family and friends on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Delaneys, 449 Grand Canyon Dr,, Madison, WI 53719.
