Harriett Laverne Jaspers

MADISON, WIS./CEDAR FALLS – Harriett Jaspers, age 90, passed away in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009. She was born Harriett LaVerne Haack in Wellsburg, Grundy County, Iowa, on June 1, 1918 to Wessell and Martha (Meyer) Haack. She was raised in Wellsburg and married Jake Harold Jaspers in 1945. They had one daughter, Jill. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Jill Miller; and two sisters, Hazel Buskovick and Neola Flessner. She is survived by a granddaughter, Katie Miller, of Safety Harbor, Florida; her son-in-law, Robert Miller, Fitchburg, Wisconsin; her niece, Nola (Flessner) Meester, Grundy Center, Iowa; and her nephew, Thomas J. Flessner, of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Private family services will be held with burial next to her husband in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery, Wellsburg, Iowa.
