Glenn V. Larson

MADISON - Glenn V. Larson of Madison died July 10, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. Glenn was born in Baldwin, Wis., on January 17, 1946, the son of Norman and Tresa (Williams) Larson. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1964 and served in the Americal Infantry Division in Vietnam in 1968. He received a degree in Accounting from MATC in 1977, and worked for Comstock Tires for 5 years. He married Kayla Grant on July 3, 1980. He is survived by his wife Kayla and their daughters, Halora (Andrew) Kidder and Veronica Grant, both of Madison. He is further survived by his brothers, Jerry G. and Donnie W. Larson and their wives of Knapp, Wis. He is also survived by his favorite nieces and nephews, Rhonda, Becky, Robin, Tim, Tina, and Jay, along with numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Virgil Glenn Larson and nephew, Tommy Larson. He will be remembered by his daughters for their weekly trips to the Madison Public Library, and the special lunches they shared on the UW Campus, where he worked for the Physical Plant for over 30 years and they were students. Memorials can be made to the Madison Public Library and HospiceCare, Inc. A special thanks to all those at HospiceCare who helped make his end of life experience comfortable.
