WAUNAKEE - Glenn A. Hinz, age 70, of Waunakee, passed away on April 27, 2010. He was born March 4, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Edwin and Thelma (Kolloge) Hinz. He married Kathleen Gross in October 1989. She preceded him in death in 2005. Glenn was a graduate of Carroll University, Milwaukee and the School of Pharmacy UW-Madison. A lifelong career as a pharmacist led him to become an instructor for the pharmacy technician programs at Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland, WI and Madison Area Technical College. He retired from MATC in 2003. He was an accomplished theatre organ player and enjoyed entertaining for friends and family. In addition to photography, travel, gardening and antique cars; the Friday night dartball league at Windsor UCC was always something to look forward. He is survived by his children, Kevin Hinz and Stephanie (Thomas) Kirkland and their mother, Barbara (Robert) Wenzlaff; step-daughter, Karen (Jim) Cowdy and family; step-son, Tim Gross and family; a brother, Gary (Nancy) Hinz; nieces, Beth Hinz and Lynda Hinz (Michael Moore), and many more relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 5 in the WINDSOR UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4434 Second Street, Windsor, WI. Rev. David McDonald will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service; a luncheon will follow immediately after. Visitation and committal will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 6 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave (Hwy O), Kohler, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to encourage memorials to Dairyland Theatre Organ Society or a charity of your choice.
