Geraldine L. Terland

Geraldine Louise Terland (Thompson), 92 of Avalon, Wisconsin, passed away on September 30, 2024 at Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville, Wisconsin. She was born on June 5, 1932 in Newark Township, the daughter of LaVern and Cecile Pann. Geraldine married Eugene Thompson on March 28, 1951 in Rockton Illinois. Eugene passed on June 29, 1972. She then married Bruce Terland on December 20, 1978. Sadly, Bruce also passed on October 19, 2009.

Geri graduated from Beloit Memorial High in 1950. She worked at Iron Works in Beloit, in the office. She later worked at Freeman Shoes. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Geri is survived by eight children, Jennie Thompson, Mary LaFever, Linda Rozell, James (Turi), Bill (Christina), John, Robert (Stacey) and David (Dawn) Thompson; as well as two stepchildren, Bruce Terland, Jr., and Renee Wollin. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Alexander; and her brothers, Edward, Robert and Larry Pann.

A visitation will be held at All Faiths Funeral Home, Janesville, on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am; with a Time of Remembrance beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at Emerald Grove Cemetery following the services.

The family would like to thank the Rock Haven staff for all their care of Mom. They would also like to thank Agrace Hospice for their thoughtfulness during mother’s transition.
