George Jake Leonhard

Janesville-George Jake Leonhard, age 66, passed away at home from lung cancer on Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born April 7, 1944 in Brown County, WI; The youngest of four children to Leo and Lucille (Chatsey) Leonhard. They moved to South Beloit, IL; when George was young. He married Joyce Fago in 1963. They had two daughters, Dawn and Teresa. He married Vickie Bennett in 1981. They had a son, Joshua. George was a Millwright out of local 836 now 1056 since 1973. He retired in 2004. George is survived by his wife Vickie, two daughters, Dawn (Chris) Bue of Afton, WI; Teresa (Brad) Bastian of Rockford, IL; a son, Joshua Leonhard of Janesville, WI; three grandsons Colt Bue, Seth Bue, Cole Leonhard, three granddaughters, Haley Leonhard, Ellina Bastian, Jenna Bastian, a brother, Leo Leonhard of New York, two sisters, Jayne Davis of Virginia, Deanna (Bob) Carlson of North Carolina, Carrie Udelhoven, mother of Haley and Cole. Jake loved fishing, hunting, camping, flea markets, rummage sales, working on small engines, and watching Wisconsin Badgers Football. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Jeremy Leonhard, and his best friend Jerry Berry. George’s family would like to thank Dr. Hartlaub, the nurses, C.N.A’s and all the staff from Hospice that helped in Jake’s care. Thank you all! A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the All Faiths Funeral Home 1618 E. Racine St. Janesville. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.
