Frank J. Kruger

MADISON - Frank J. Kruger, age 41 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Monday May 6, 2024, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on September 2, 1983, in Madison, to Jill (Kruger) Olson. Frank grew up in Madison, graduating from LaFollette High School, a lifelong Lancer’s fan!

He had many different retail/customer service jobs until he broke his back and had a stroke, which he then moved to an assisted living facility. Frank was a diabetic and receiving dialysis and these were just a few of the many health challenges he faced; but always persevering; primarily for his son, Hunter, who was his pride and joy. Hunter meant the world to Frank. He enjoyed hanging out, gaming, and Brewer games with his son and many other adventures. Frank loved all sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and the Badgers.

Frank is survived by his son, Hunter Kruger of Beaver Dam; brothers, Don (Michelle Hasz) Kruger of Madison, and Tyrone Martin of Madison; niece, Cierra Kruger of Monticello; nephew, Jake Martin of Madison; his grandmother, Geraldine Kruger; and many other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his stepfamily, Ben Olson, Ashley Olson, Alison Olson, and Erin Olson.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Kruger; mother, Jill (Kruger) Olson; uncles, Gary Kruger and Jack Kruger; and aunt, Sue Barker.
