Frank A. Erhard

MADISON - Frank A. Erhard, age 64, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Agrace Hospice Center, following a brief but vicious battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Chicago, the only child of Frank and Helen (Czech) Erhard. Upon graduation from Wisconsin Dells High School, Frank entered service in the U.S. Army in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1970. He worked for over 25 years at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison as a night auditor. Frank read incessantly, enjoying mystery novels and historical writings. He was a very talented writer, painter and artist and enjoyed opera, especially German Opera. He also had a great affinity for cats; many times they were his closest friends. Frank is survived by friends, James Coe, Joel Herlevi and Greg Dickert as well as Michael and Jordyn Mathison. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an uncle, Alfred Czech. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at AGRACE HOSPICE, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Please enter through the Anderson entrance.
