Francis K. Turner

JANESVILLE — Francis Keith Turner, 77, of 121 S. Willard St., Janesville, died on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 3, 1929, in Janesville, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth (Morrison) Turner. Francis married Shirley Ann Sirck in Dubuque, IA, on Oct. 19, 1957. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and had worked as a mechanic for various manufacturing companies. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; 3 sons: Francis Turner, Richard Turner, and Brian Turner, all of Janesville; a daughter, Debra (Todd Tracy) Turner of Janesville; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Deuel of Janesville. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Lester, Marvin, Teddy, and Gerald; and a sister, Evelyn Pickett. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL HOME, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville, with Pastor Mike Dissmore of Rock Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial, with military rites provided by Kienow-Hilt VFW Post #1621, will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Brian Hansen of HANSEN FUNERAL HOME, Janesville, (608) 752-8800, is assisting the family.
