MADISON - Frances Lillian (Webster) Haensgen, of Madison, passed away peacefully to enter her new life on Oct. 24, 2015, at 93 years of age. Frances was born on July 19, 1922, in Beetown, Wis., the daughter of the late Daniel and Bertha (Buschmann) Webster. Frances graduated from Hannibal High School in 1941. She also received an accounting degree at Madison College at age 52 while being on the high honor roll with straight A's. She married Lawrence (Larry) Redman on Sept. 28, 1942. They had two daughters, Gayle (Redman) Thomas and the late Holly (Redman) Kamp. She married David Joseph Haensgen, the love of her life, on July 21, 1956. They had a son, David Scott Haensgen. She loved reading, especially anything about outer space; dancing, which she did regularly until age 80; playing cards; gardening; cooking, which she was very good at; and being a homemaker. But most of all she loved children, especially her own, for which there was nothing she wouldn't do. Her family was everything to her. Frances had many jobs including working as a beautician for 10 years at Earl and Evelyn Beauty Salon on the square in Madison and Melodies Beauty Salon on King Street in Madison. She also ran a very successful daycare center from her home on Heath Street in Madison for six years. Her last job was with central colony for 12 years before her retirement. She retired at age 70 but continued to lead an active life which included remodeling her house by herself while in her 70's. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle; son, David; son-in-law, Chris Thomas; granddaughters, Kim (Kamp) Salas and Jessica (Kamp) Tuchalski; her grandsons-in- law, Cas Salas and Dustin Tuchalski; and her great-grandchildren, Ashley Salas and Jaxon Tuchalski. She is further survived by many nieces, grandnieces, great-grandnieces and nephews, grandnephews, and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Larry Redman and David Haensgen; daughter, Holly; and her 11 brothers and sisters. She far outlived her siblings and is the last of her family from the great generation. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. Until we meet again. Per her request, only an immediate private family service will be held. Any memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimers research or charity of your choice.
