Evelyn C. Sokolak

MADISON – Evelyn C. Sokolak, age 84, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wis. Evelyn was born in rural McCluskey, North Dakota, the daughter of immigrant farmers. Two sisters survive her: Arlene Clift, of McFarland, Wis. and Anne Fortney, of Everett, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert C. Sokolak and numerous siblings. Evelyn raised five children, Dennis, Curtis, Mary, Jane and Sally. She loved God and her family. Her hobbies included singing and playing the guitar. Her yard was full of flowers and birds. Funeral services will be held at the MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Rd., on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 beginning at 12 P.M. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
