Eugenia C. "Nita" Marshall

MADISON - Eugenia C. “Nita” Marshall, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Oak Park Place in Madison. She was born in Milwaukee on July 23, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Zuba) Podemski. Nita graduated in 1941 from Girls Tech High School in Milwaukee. She married Raymond Marshall on July 3, 1943, at St. Joseph at Basilica in Milwaukee. Together they raised their six children in New Berlin, where Nita volunteered for many years in the local schools. Life-long loves were knitting, sewing, cross stitch, gardening, Temari and dark chocolate. Nita is survived by six children, Tom (Judy), Patricia Kaleas, John (Marilyn), Richard (Chris), Steve (Melody) and Peter (Sue); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marge Wojcik; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; her parents; son-in-law, Jeff Kaleas; a sister and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Friday, July 19, 2013, beginning at 5 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
