Eugene B. Giovannoni

MADISON – Eugene “Gene” B. Giovannoni, age 86, died February 23, 2007 at home. He was born February 24, 1920, in Brittin, North Dakota, to Rodolfo and Rosa Giovannoni (both of Lucca, Italy). Gene was a WWII veteran seeing action in the Philippines and was awarded the Bronze Star. He settled in Kenosha, WI where he raised his family and was in business with his brother-in-law, Frank Pellicori for over forty years. He is survived by his daughter Rita (Kevin Bartrom) Giovannoni and James (Terri) Giovannoni of Madison and daughter Tina Giovannoni of Racine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Gene loved family, friends, work and good food. His great sense of humor and warm presence will be missed. The family wishes to thank all the special people from these health and helping organizations: Dr. Marsha Reiner, Palliative Care Team, and sitters at the VA Hospital, the entire team at Wisconsin Dialysis, RSVP, Hospice Care, Independent Health Care and Independent Living, Inc. There will be no services. Gene will be buried in North Dakota at a later date.
