Janesville- Emmy Luebke, age 74, passed away October 14, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville surrounded by her loving family. Emmy was a two time cancer survivor, but unfortunately lost the third and final battle. She was born October 19, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI to Frances Scott and Geraldine Rabidoux. She was a life-long member of the Bad River Band Ojibwa Tribe, Odana, WI. Emmy was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Albion, WI. Emmy will be fondly remembered for her caring nature and devotion to others and her love of the Green Bay Packers. Emmy is survived by her children Cathie (Dennis) Luebke, Laurie Adkins, Bob (Debbie) Grahn (all members of Bad River tribe), two sisters, Barbara (Al) Hochschild (Bad River tribe), Ruth Livingston (Red Cliff tribe), both of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, LaVerne (Karon) Quam (Bad River tribe), of Madison, WI; two step children Wayne (Vickie) Luebke, Jeffrey Luebke both of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Shawn, Jason, Jeneile, Eric, Angie, Katie, and Matthew (all members of Bad River tribe), seven great grandchildren, doggie grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends. Extra care was given to Emmy from Pastor Mike Burns, Seventh Day Baptist Church, Albion, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Luebke, her previous husband Warren Grahn, her daughter Monica Strickert, and son-in-law Dennis Adkins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 2 pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Albion, WI.
