Emil "Jon" Lamour

Janesville- Emil “Jon” LaMour, age 59, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at Rock Haven Health Center. He was born August 27, 1951 the son of George and Katherine (Wilke) LaMour in Dubuque, IA. Emil graduated from Lena – Winslow High School in 1970. He married Iris Senders on October 23, 1982 in Freeport, IL. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 26, 1968. Emil enjoyed travelling around and visiting the construction sites he had worked on in the past. He would sometimes travel great distances to experience a new place to enjoy conversation and coffee. Emil enjoyed building model trains, even dedicating one whole room to building model train villages. He also enjoyed fishing; working with wood, building several pieces of furniture, but most of all Emil will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and his dependability at home and on the various job sites he worked at. He is survived by his wife, one son Xavier LaMour, of Janesville, WI; two sisters Georgia Kay (Marvin) Botsford, of Dubuque, IA; LaDonna (John) Morrison, of Vicksburg, MS; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son William Forrest LaMour, and one brother Benedict William LaMour. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:30 P.M at Creston Park Jehovah’s Witnesses 4129 E. Bingham Rd. Janesville, WI. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at the Kingdom Hall
