MADISON Elsie L Bach was born in Madison on March 29, 1923, and passed away March 1, 2016. She was preceded by her parents, Ernest and Louise Bollier; twin sister, Martha; brother, Albert; and sister, Anna Mae Iverson. She attended Franklin School and graduated from Central High School in 1940. She married Adolph Al Bach on Dec. 6, 1941, the day before Pearl Harbor. They had 74 happy years of marriage. She was a wartime employee of RMR making walkie talkies for the war effort while Al was serving in the U.S. Army in Europe. She also worked as a school cook for many years. She volunteered at the Fitchburg Senior Center as the travel guide for day and extended tours. Al and Elsie attended 18 Elder Hostel programs in the Unites States as well as several trips to Switzerland. She is survived by her husband, Al; daughter, Charlene (Tom) Klossner of Sun Prairie; two sons, Randolph (Suzanne) of Blanchardville and Daniel (Joyce) of Fitchburg; as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. We wish to thank Oakwood Village and Agrace HospiceCare for their help in the last seven months of her life.
