Elizabeth M. Schulner, age 46, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Luther Hospital. She was born January 4, 1962 in Plum City, WI to Russel and Marilyn (nee Nielsen) Decker. As an Army child, Beth lived in many places all over the world. Settling in Durand, she raised her children Charles, Martin, Matthew and Elisa while working in Red Wing, MN. In 2000, she met her future husband, David Schulner. Up to her death, she owned and operated Beth's Day Care where she helped shape many young lives. Beth loved crafts, sewing, embroidery and her flowers. Known to her friends in the U.P. as the “Happy Camper”, she and her family loved exploring nature and all it has to offer. Beth chose to pass on her love for life and others by becoming an organ donor. Elizabeth is survived by her husband: David Schulner of Eau Claire, WI; seven children: Charles, Martin, Matthew, Troy, Shelby, Casey, and Elisa; her mother: Marilyn Nelson of Leesburg, FL; four brothers: Michael, Robert, David and Philip; three sisters: Susan, Andrea and Brenda. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, and her stepfather, Keith. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral and Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated. The family would like to thank the EMTs who first responded, the Critical Care Team of Luther Hospital, the organ procurement team and all supporting family and friends.
