Elena V. Fernandez

MADISON - Elena V. Fernandez, age 90, passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. She was born on June 20, 1923, in San Carlos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Horacio and Luz (Ramirez) Vasquez. She is survived by three daughters, Carmela Hernandez of CD. Mante, Tamps., Mexico, Socorro Martinez of CD. Victoria, Tamps., Mexico, and Socorro Teniente of Madison; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Florentino Fernandez; a sister; a brother; and a grandson. A memorial service will be held at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, 4545 E. Buckeye Road, Madison, on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, beginning at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
