Edward Lawrence Sutter, 92, of Eau Claire died on Friday, March 9, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on October 8, 1914, in Fountain City, Wis., to Florian and Anna (nee Grossell) Sutter. On November 5, 1936, he married Lucille Anna Keller at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Arkansaw, Wis. Edward had been a member of Wisconsin Right to Life and the Catholic Order of Foresters for more than 50 years. Survivors include two sons, Charles of Eau Claire and Richard (Betty) of El Paso, Texas; two grandchildren, Toni (Doug) French of Austin, Texas, and Greg (Kirsten) Sutter of Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Chelsie and Parker French and Madison and Jackson Sutter. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; two sisters and two brothers. A requiem high Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1812 Lynn Ave., Altoona, Wis., with the Rev. Fr. Oliver Meney of the Order of Christ the King officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., and also on Thursday one hour prior to services at church.
