Edward E. Butler

JUNEAU/JANESVILLE - Edward E. Butler, age 90, formerly of Janesville, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau. Edward was born November 30, 1923 to Edward and Lydia (Doris) Butler. He married Betty Graves in 1948. Edward was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Horse Jockey and Trainer and eventually an Iron Worker. He loved woodworking and doing odd jobs. Edward is survived by his son, Edward (Barb) Butler of Janesville; two daughters, Debra (David) Hantke of Milton and Penny (Tom) Gilbertson of Janesville. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren; Crystal, Korey, Jamey, Scott, Nick, Melissa, Danny, Carol, Tina, Tara, Casey, David, Tami, Josh, Brooke, as well as 20 great grandchildren. Also, his brother William (Delores) Butler and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty; two daughters, Patti and Bobbie. Also preceding Edward are his parents; brothers, Richard, Howard, Wayne and Harry; and a sister, Delores. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville on Friday, April 11, 2014 beginning at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. Visitation will be held at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL in Janesville on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family would like to thank Clearview Nursing Home for their loving care and also thank Edwards coworker Jerry, for taking the time to visit so often.
