Edith V. Giovannoni

MADISON / KENOSHA - Edith V. Giovannoni, age 94, died on Sept. 23, 2014. She was born on June 5, 1920, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Peter and Maria (Aiello) Pellicori. Edith was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and moved to Madison in 2000. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Giovannoni (Kevin Bartrom); and son, James Giovannoni (Teri); and many nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frank Pellicori; and sisters, Rose Valeo and Concetta Brittelli. She is remembered for always having a vase of flowers nearby, in spring, lily of the valley or peonies; and in summer, roses. She shared her memories of growing up in a large extended Italian family in Kenosha and the joys of Italian cooking. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service and internment of ashes will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Segoe Gardens for the wonderful care provided to Edith.
