MADISON - Douglas Mark North (aka Patch) walked on to join the love of his life, Lorraine, on March 30, 2017, after a brief illness at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 1, 1955, the son of Robert and Patricia North. Douglas was a graduate of West High in Madison and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served from 1972-1979 in aviation electronics, serving on the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Coral Sea. Doug was a lifelong member and patriarch of the Capital City Riders (1989-2017). His interests were motorcycling, gun smiting, mechanics, electronics, camping, hunting, leather work, fine tequilas, Cuban cigars, cooking and photography. Doug was a big man with a big voice and a bigger heart. Douglas career included international trouble shooting for Pro-Tech and as a supervisor for Morris Manufacturing. Doug was a gifted jack of all trades, a go to guy for his friends. Douglas is survived by his father, Robert Lee North; mother, Flavia Neveaux; sisters, Cynthia (Richard) Kessenich and Cherie (Ren) Morentin, brother, Daniel (Sally) North; nieces and nephews, Alicia Uselman, Ryan (Josie) Lucey, Tristan (Kati) Lucey, Leah (John) Hildebrand, Christine (Lukas) Czerwonka, Troy (Jessica) North, and Justin (Danielle) North; step-daughter, Nikki (Brian) Rathbun; and step-sons, Tony (Katie) Sennhenn and Alex Sennhenn. Full military honors will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 8, 2017 followed by a Celebration of Life, at the CC RIDERS CLUBHOUSE, 1325 Parkside Drive, Madison.
