MADISON Douglas A. Grunow, age 73, passed away at his home in Madison Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017. He was born in Mifflin, Wis., on March 10, 1944, the son of Alvin and Henrietta (Von Wald) Grunow. Doug married Carole Johnson on Oct. 5, 1963, in Livingston, Wis. Doug was a graduate of Mineral Point High School and attended MATC in Madison. He worked for 47 years at the University of Wisconsin DoIT Center. He enjoyed golf, loved playing cards, watching sports, and attending every event his grandchildren participated in. Doug is survived by his wife, Carole; daughter, Tammy Grunow; grandson, John (Carly) DOrazio; granddaughters, Alyssa (Joe Cooper) DOrazio and Anna DOrazio; great-granddaughters, Izze and Lily DOrazio; his Swedish son, Jan Ake Danielson; a brother, Roger (Marlene) Grunow; and a sister, Darlene (Robert) Coyier; and nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald Grunow.
