Dorothy M. Johnson

MADISON – Dorothy Marie Johnson, age 50 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wis. She was born in Melrose Park, Ill., on Feb. 27, 1971, the daughter of William and Dorothy Bates. Dorothy loved her family, friends, kittens, music, purple tulips, shopping, dancing, butterflies, giraffes, spending the day at the zoo, and fast cars. She had a great smile and a good sense of humor. Dorothy will be missed by her family, including her children, Jonathon Flores, Brandon Johnson and Gregory Johnson; mother, Dorothy Bates; sisters, Mary (Salomon) Bonilla and Jennifer Bates; brother, Jim Bates; nieces, Mandy and Dottie; nephew Samuel; as well as many more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William; sister, Sheila; brother, Alvin; and a baby boy, Zachary. No services will be held.
