LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY - Doreen Rein TETZLAFF, was taken from us peacefully by her heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ on Maundy Thu, April 1, 2010. Doreen was born in Stoughton, WI on July 22, 1924. She attended public schools in Stoughton, graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Home Economics in 1946 and was a sorority sister of Delta Gamma. She taught Home Economics at Sheboygan H.S. for 2 years. She then attended school in Zürich, Switzerland and also worked with a clothing designer, Pierre Balmain, in Paris, France. She returned to the U.S. and worked at Carson, Pierre, Scott in Chicago until her marriage to Roger in Sep 1951. She had four children; Terese Nan, Todd, Eric and Christopher. The family had homes in Morrisonville, WI, Lansdale, PA, and Richmond, VA before moving to Lexington in Sep 1994. She was an active church member of 2nd Presbyterian, serving in the Stephen Ministries and Meals on Wheels for many years in addition to many other activities. She leaves behind her very loving husband, her children and grandchildren Jenilee, Kristen, George Roger, Megan, Stephen, Daniel and one great grandson, Tucker. The family wishes to thank the members of the Hospice of the BlueGrass for their compassionate care during her last days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2nd Presbyterian, Stephen Ministries or your local Meals on Wheels. Memorial services will be held 2pm Thu, April 8, 2010 at 2nd Presbyterian Church.
