Doreen A. Riley

Doreen Ann Riley, age 52 of Madison, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2007, at UW Hospital, after a long illness. She was born Aug. 3, 1954, in Milwaukee, to George and Opal Paul Riley. Doreen's inspired photographic and native sculpting talents have lightened spirits and still grace many homes. She was an excellent massage therapist, graduating from the coveted Boulder School of Massage Therapy. She most recently worked a variety of jobs for the State of Wisconsin, including the Department of Corrections Badger Road probation office. She is survived by her mother, Marge Riley; her brothers, Dale (Dawn) Riley and Dwayne (Gabi) Riley; her sister, Gail Kitchen; her brothers, Dennis (Stacey), and James(Karen) Kitchen; nieces, Sheena (Gary), Scarlett, Alexa, Jasmine, Rory, and Nicole; nephews Kyle (Melissa), Sean (Candy), Danny, and Ben; her cousin, Pam; and other relatives. Doreen is also survived by many in the women's community, including Tess, Lance, Justice, Kim Kesselhon, Vicki Tree, Ingrid and Melissa, Christine and Hilda, Diana B., Betty and Sherry, Ruth and Falcon, Cynthia (Petey) Rose, Sara and Ruth, Firehawk and Rain Gaia, Kat and Kvayn, among many others. She is also survived by and well loved by Geri and Chris, and the Meuer sisters, Karen, Pam, Nancy, Rita, and Claudia. She was preceded in death by her father, George Riley; and her beloved kitty, Yuki. Visitation and service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 4058 Lien Road in Madison. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. with service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Interment will take place at Mazomanie cemetary afterwards. Memorials may be made to environmental groups in her name. We will sorely miss her sense of humor (that punster!), her generosity, and her dedicated work ethic.
