Donna J. Femrite

MADISON - Donna J. Femrite (Hendrickson), age 80, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

Donna was born in Madison on November 27, 1942, the daughter of Donald and Helen (House) Hendrickson. Donna attended Madison East High School, graduating in 1960. Donna married her best friend, Bill Femrite on August 27, 1960.

Donna is survived by her son, Todd (Latanya) Femrite; daughter, Debbie “Sissi” McClain; sisters, Mary Oberhoff and Kim Drunasky; six grandchildren, Tyler, Alysha, Sara (Andy), Kyle, Joe and JT. Donna loved being a great grandma to Travis and Lucas, and Donna was the "fun aunt" to her many nieces and nephews, and Tommy’s former wives, Tamara Hull and Amber Bakken, who were very special to Donna.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill; a son, Tommy Femrite; grandson, Jacob Femrite; and her son-in-law, Gary McClain.

Donna loved being at her “Happy Place” also known as Pride of America Camping Resort. She “carried on” with special friends, Charlie Lucarz, Dave and Carrie Schmitt, and the rest of the POA gang. Now, Donna’s “carrying on” with Bill and the rest of her loved ones and she wants us to “carry on” too!

A Celebration of Life for Donna and Bill Femrite will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the VFW DAY POST 7591, 301 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison.
