Donald R. Beckwith

STOUGHTON – Donald R. Beckwith, age 70, of Stoughton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born in Rockford, Ill., on July 15, 1951, the son of Donald R. and Juanita (Horton) Beckwith. He married Gail Johnson on July 7, 1973, in Stoughton. Don worked many jobs but primarily at Oscar Mayer for 32 years in production. He was a member and union steward for UFCW Local 538 and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Parish in Stoughton, were he ushered. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to bowl and play cards. Don is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Kevin (Ashley) and their children, Aaryk, Kaelyn and Cade; son, Ryan (Natasha) and their children, Sierra, Savannah, and Samantha; daughter, Valerie (Shane) McColligan and their children, Aiden and Brody; sister, Donna Beckwith; nephew, Brad Beckwith; and in-laws, Greg (Judy) Johnson, Gloria (John) Harris, Geneva (Sam) Braun, and Glenda (Tim) Kojo. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Robert and Alvina Johnson; infant daughter, Denise; brother-in-law, Gerald Johnson; nephew, Christopher Johnson; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at ST. ANN”S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 W. Van Buren St., Stoughton, with Fr. Randy Budnar presiding. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agrace Hospice or St. Ann’s Endowment Fund.
