Donald J. Hughes

MADISON – Donald J. Hughes, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born August 2, 1922 in Madison, the son of Clarence and Clara Hughes. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; children, James (Annette) Hughes, Jane (Rimas) Caplenas, Debra (Bruce) Haack, Joan Duren, and friend Glen; sisters, Marion Schumacher and Hazel Breitenbach; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gerald Hughes; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Downing, Robert Breitenbach and Marvin Schumacher. Don was and machinist and tool and dye maker. He always enjoyed traveling and woodworking. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL HOME, 4058 Lien Rd., on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
