Donald E. Van Vlierbergen, Jr.

EDGERTON, WIS. - Donald Edward Van Vlierbergen, Jr., age 56, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at his home in Edgerton, Wis. Don was born on June 25, 1960 in Chicago, to Donald and Phylis Van Vlierbergen. He was married to Ardie Van Vlierbergen in 2008. His wife, Ardie; son, Devin; and daughter, Jessica survive him. He is also survived by his mother, Phylis Maxwell; brother, David (Sherri); and sisters, Sharon (Kurt), Lori (Samir), and Lisa (David). He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Edward Van Vlierbergen, Sr. Don was a 1978 graduate of Larkin High School in Elgin. After graduation Don worked as a parts manager before becoming an installer for AT&T. Five years ago he moved to Florida to start his own small business. Last March he learned that he had small cell lung cancer. After a 10-month battle with this disease he passed away on Jan. 10, 2017 in the comforts of his home. Don was a great father, husband, son, brother and friend. All who knew him will miss him dearly.
