Donald A. Belter

MADISON – Donald A. Belter, age 72 of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born August 18, 1935 in Baraboo, the son of Ferdinand and Margaret (Zuch) Belter. Don served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1953 to 1956. He married Connie Born on Oct. 9, 1982 in Baraboo. Don was an avid Chicago Cub fan and loved to deer hunt. He is survived by his wife Connie, of Madison; a son, Steven Belter; three brothers, Duane Belter, of Baraboo, Howard (Shirley) Belter, of Milton, and Jim (Joyce) Belter, of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Pat Belter, of Baraboo, and Julie Belter, of Phoenix; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Don was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Emil Luedtke; a son. Richard; and three brothers. At Don’s request private family services will be held.
