Delores F. Heffernan

Delores F. “Brownie” Heffernan, age 82, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born September 29, 1925 in Eau Claire, WI to Henry and Minnie (nee Guthman) Brown. After graduating from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1943, Delores went to work for Wisconsin Telephone. In 1945, she married John C. Heffernan. For many years, she worked at the switchboard at Sacred Heart Hospital. Survivors include a son, Michael (Connie) Heffernan of Northport, Al; a sister: Shirley (Ray) Knott of Eau Claire, WI; a grandson: Michael Heffernan of Eau Claire, WI & his family, Wendy and daughters, Taylor & Madison; and a granddaughter: Amy (Steven) Lysse of Stuttgart, Germany. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral and Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire.. Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 PM until the time of services. Private interment will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery.
