Debra A Hoffman

Debra Ann Hoffman, age 53, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008 at Angel Space in Eau Claire, WI after a courageous, 15 year battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1955 in Winona, MN to Gerald and Mary Ann (nee Parish) Struble. Growing up in Hartland, WI, she was a 1973 graduate of Arrowhead High School. A free spirit at heart, Debra traveled the country for a few years making many friends and acquaintances everywhere she went. She then went to work for Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 19 years. In 1984, she met her future husband, Steve and they married on July 8, 1986 on top of Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, CO. Deb and Steve lived in Okauchee, WI for the next 12 years where they started their family. They and their children moved to Phillips, WI in 1998 where they owned and operated Long John's Resort in the beautiful northwoods. After her retirement, they moved to Eau Claire, WI. Debra is survived by her husband: Steven W. Hoffman of Eau Claire, WI; two children: Lena Hoffman and Torri Hoffman both of Eau Claire, WI; her mother: Mary Ann Stockman of AZ; her father: Gerald (Joan) Struble of Mauston, WI; a brother: Glen (Janet) Struble of Reedsburg, WI; a sister: Sandra (Don) Henninger of Hartford, WI; and her mother-in-law: Viola Hoffman of Hartland, WI. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Arthur Hoffman and her step-father: Robert Stockman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Hartland American Legion Hall from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and in Phillips, WI at a later date.
