Dax Harland Gage

DEERFIELD - Dax Harland Gage of Deerfield, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at UW Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Dax was born June 6, 2013 and is remembered with love by his Momma and Dada, Holly Marie Brown and Bryan Keith Gage. Dax was fascinated with everything; he had a magnetic personality and was often referred to as Mr. Man. It was plain as the nose on your face that he was happy by his constant cute little smile and his contagious giggle. One of Holly and Bryans favorite memories is being greeted by Dax after being away; he would immediately stop what he was doing and excitedly exclaim Momma, Dada, then run to them with a huge smile on his face, arms extended ready for a big hug and always had a kiss for them. He adored his Momma and Dada and they truly had a special connection - he changed them. Dax was a social butterfly and was incredibly energetic; he was not shy in crowds and thrived being around people. Many remember him by his signature good-bye, which was blowing kisses. For him, most everything was exciting and fun. He enjoyed trips to the zoo and could not pass a park without stopping and saying go play. He always looked forward to being outside and was an adventurer with absolute fearlessness. He was a mover and a shaker and a go-er and a do-er. He danced whenever there was music and his parents sang to him everyday; he was learning to sing the ABCs and had already mastered Itsy Bitsy Spider. Dax appreciated books and reading very early on and one of his all-time favorite reads was Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? When it came to bedtime, Dax had a few requirements for sleep Mouse, Worm and Blankie his three little loveys and would not go to bed without them, and like many boys, some of his favorite things were trucks and airplanes. Dax brought an undeniable light into the lives of everyone he met and although his life was far too brief, his family and friends are grateful to have had him at all. Daxs life will carry on in the memories of maternal grandparents, Terri and Wayne Winans (Grammy and Papa); paternal grandmother, Jean Rogers (Grandma); aunt, Antonia Lohmiller (Auntie Toes) and her children, Anthony and Alexandra; aunt, Tara Disch, her husband Joshua and their children, Jack and Macy James; uncle, Philip McKinley, his wife Sharon and their daughter, Brielle; great-aunt, Judy Triggs; cousin, David Triggs, his fianc Ashley Mroz and their daughter Gabriela; plus countless honorary aunts and uncles and a host of many close family friends. Holly and Bryan invite everyone to celebrate the life of Dax on Friday, June 26, 2015 at BURKE PARK, 5365 Reiner Road in Madison, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Because of Daxs love for parks and being outdoors, this picnic-like gathering will be casual and informal. Daxs parents respectfully request that in lieu of cards or flowers, donations be sent to the American Family Childrens Hospital whose compassionate care they are forever grateful: American Family Children's Hospital Attn: Colleen Fraser 1675 Highland Ave. Madison, WI 53792-9945 http://tinyurl.com/RememberDax All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Services Madison (608)442-0477 www.866allfaiths.com
