MADISON – David Johnson, age 60, of Madison, crossed over to his eternal world on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 in the arms of his partner of 18 ½ years, Lisa Lehnertz. Also present were son, Aubrey Johnson, friends Bev Skelton, Myrtle Lehnertz and Linda Lehnertz, who maintained an almost constant vigil over David while he was hospitalized. David leaves behind a daughter, Rosetta (Bobbie) Johnson and their children, Daria and Myles, of Suffolk, Virginia; sons, Aubrey, and his children, Aurealia, Aubrey II, and Aunisa, of Madison; David, and his children, Genaris, Katlyn, Takayla, Joshua, Daylon and Destiny, of South Carolina; and Patrick, and his children, Jordan and Daezaun of South Carolina; and a sister, Patricia Chambers, of Chicago. David was and is loved by many. He will be genuinely missed by all who knew him. We would like to extend a sincere thanks to all of the staff involved in David’s care at UW Hospital during his last weeks of life. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the HospiceCare staff who provided excellent care with understanding kindness and all of the time needed to ensure that David’s final four days were comfortable to the end. Not only did they care for David, but the rest of us as well. A Celebration of David’s life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 from 12 P.M. until 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
