David A. Peck

MARSHALL - David Allison Peck, age 93, born and raised in the Town of Medina and resided the majority of his life in the Town of York, was called home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. David was born July 17, 1923, the fifth child of Henry and Zara (Calkins) Peck. He grew up on a farm on Hwy. T, west of Marshall. On October 4, 1952, he married Carol M. Astle. On Halloween 1955 they found their forever home on a small farm just north of Marshall on Deansville Road where they raised their five children. They were blessed with 64 years together prior to Davids passing. David was an avid gardener and loved to share the bounty of his gardens with friends and family. Hunting was a passion of Davids and he enjoyed all types, with his favorites being ones that included the hounds he loved. David is survived by his wife Carol, his children, David Pete (Carla) Peck of Lodi, Peggy (Scott) Chapman of Scandi, Minn., Penny Dahl of Marshall, Steven (Sheila) Peck of Pocahontas Ill., and Norman (Sue) Peck of Marshall. There are also 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Wallace (Marge) Peck and sister-in-law Geraldine Jerry Peck. David was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson Jason Peck; son-in-law, Rollin Dahl; his sister, Dorothy LaTondresse; his brothers, Robert, Norman Mike and Homer. Funeral services will be held at the MARSHALL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 318 William St. Marshall on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 am until the time service. A luncheon and fellowship will follow the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Medina Cemetery, Marshall.
