JANESVILLE - Darryl J. Kaiser, age 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and close friend Jim Wierzba, May 31, 2008 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born January 25, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI to Harold and Beatrice Kaiser. Darryl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for three years during the Vietnam era. Upon returning from Germany, he was employed with Roadway Express for 25 years. During that time, he met and married Mary Bull on November 26, 1976 and continued that courtship for 31 years. Additionally, he was a people greeter on the weekend nightshift at Wal-Mart. In his younger days, he was an avid bowler, fisherman, and golfer. Darryl also loved watching Packer and Brewer games and wine tastings. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the dog show circuit. He was looking forward to retirement to spend time with his grandchildren. Darryl is survived by his wife; four children Chad Kaiser, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jessica (Dave) DeGarmo, of Janesville, WI, Kristen Jaszkowski and special friend Curt, of Stafford, VA, and Darren Kaiser, of Edgerton, WI; six grandchildren Easton, Jakob, Adalynne, Margaret, Gabriella, and Jackson; a sister Holly Kaiser; brother Glenn (Wendi) Kaiser; brother-in-law John (Carol Topinka) Bull. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, his beloved French bulldog Wilma Sue Kaiser and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Across the years I will walk with you In deep green forests; on shores of sand And when our time on earth is through, In heaven, too, you will have my hand. ~Love, Mary
