Dann W. Conner

MADISON – Dann W. Conner, age 80 of Madison, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was born in Vanita, Oklahoma on Oct. 6, 1944, the son of Orvin W. and Ruby B. (Collier) Conner.

Following graduation from Vanita High School in 1961, Dann went on to barber school. He worked with his dad until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1964. He went to basic training in San Antonio, Texas and then was stationed in Germany for two years. Following his military service, Dann lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a year, then attended Sunset School of Preaching. He lived in Ireland for a year prior to coming to Wisconsin. Dann was a preacher for 20 years and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison until he retired in 2020. He was a member of the Church of Christ and involved in the Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp (WCYC) Fallhall Glen.

Dann is survived by his daughter, Dannette Wilson; grandsons, Drew and Conner Fritz; and his former wife, Patsy Grauvogl. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
