Daniel Joseph Carrol

JANESVILLE – Daniel J. Carrol, age 49, who came to Janesville with his passion to help others and succeeded in doing so, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 23, 2008. He was born Sept. 22, 1958 in Elmhurst, Ill. the son of Guy and Jane (Gebka) Carrol. Dan grew up in Peoria and Des Plaines, Ill. Daniel Carrol was owner and mentor, at First Resort, a safe-haven for men in crisis. First Resort was acknowledged for it’s endless efforts in the community through state awards. This is the legacy Daniel was most proud of and his family will continue. Daniel is survived by his twin sister, Natalie Carrol, who is crazy-nuts about him and loves him endlessly; siblings, Holly Carrol, Buzz Carrol, Doug (Janie) Carrol, and Billy (Barbara) Carrol; his favorite niece and god-daughter, Mitzi Lukowski; nephews, Justin and Adam Carrol; and his best friends, Justin Chapin, Dave Nardy, Julie Veihrs, Paul Norman, and the Langford boys.
