Curtis David Taylor

MADISON - Curtis David Taylor, age 55, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Curtis was born on December 9, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, the 4th child born to Matthew Taylor Sr. & Mamie-Pelzer Taylor. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Taylor; his brother, Matthew Taylor, Jr., and sister, Dorothy Cliippard. Curtis strongly believed in a higher power and was dedicated to the faith. Curtis attended Cleveland public schools. Curtis was employed in animal research in Metro Health Hospital & St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland until he relocated to Madison 1978. Curtis was employed with the University of Wisconsin for the past 13 years, but the most recent position was with the Facilities Planning and Management where he had worked for the last 2 years. Curtis will be missed by all who knew him, as he always took time to strike up a meaningful conversation, on various topics. Curtis leaves to mourn, his father Mathew Taylor, Sr.; two brothers, Stanley and Tyrone; three sisters, Mary, Darlene and Helen Dorazio (John Dorazio, son-in-law), his children LaToya Green of Cleveland and Damion (Diana) Taylor, of Sun Prairie; five grandchildren QuaNisha 12, Devon 5, TiaShana 5, Jayla & Jaylin both 2; Aunt Kathleen Thomas, Uncle Frank Anderson, also a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Services for Curtis will be held at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
