Craig Keith Sullivan

Craig Keith Sullivan concluded his 51-year life on June 17, 2015. This was also the day of his 20th wedding anniversary to Danielle, his best friend and partner. Craig was raised as a young child in northcentral England, and moved with his family to America in 1976. He graduated from Parker High School in Janesville in 1981. He proudly served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division as a Paratrooper Ranger, earning the rank of Sargent. Craig earned degrees from UW-Stout and UW-Stevens Point and completed Masters degree work in silvilcuture and forestry. He had a 20-year career as a forester for the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and his work took him to Tennessee, Alaska, and New Mexico, until the family settled in Southwest Colorado 11 years ago. Craig is survived by his wife, Danielle; their two sons, Ethan (16) and Charlie (10); along with his father, Keith Sullivan of Janesville; his brother, Simon (and Holly) Sullivan of Janesville; a sister, Lorraine (Jim) Ruder of Verona and several nieces and nephews. His loving mother, Nina Sullivan, preceded him in death. Craig was a devoted and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His easy-going, friendly, and kind ways were readily appreciated by many and will be missed by all. Craig was an avid outdoors person who loved to travel, hike, climb, paddle, ski, etc. Craig was also an enthusiastic sports fan. Craig appreciated the support and care of Dr. Camidge, an oncologist at the University of Colorado Hospital during his nearly five year courageous battle with cancer. His family also appreciates the kind services provided by the staff of St. Mary's and UW Hospital during his last week. His family celebrated his life at a memorial service in Wisconsin.
