MADISON - Clarence Boles Jr., age 65, of Madison, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 peacefully at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 7, 1944. He retired from Oscar Mayer, returned to work and then retired from the UW-Madison. He loved to garden and was known to have a green thumb. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Boles Sr. and Constance Myra Boles, his brother, Charles Matthews and sister Constance Wuest of San Diego, who died in Dec. of 2008. He is survived by his sister, Christie Hill; brother-in-law, Lon Hill, and his sons, Vincent Edward (Martina) Boles of Germany, and Brandon Darnell Troia, of Madison; grandson, Garrett; and daughter, Kimberley Ann Rinehart, of Washington State; his long-time friend, Mary Troia; special cousin, Lois McKnight; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and many long-time friends. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Friday, July 17, 2009 beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in Clarence’s name to HospiceCare, Inc. The family would like to extend their thanks to HospiceCare, for enhancing his quality of life at the end of life, to the staff at St. Mary’s Renal Clinic for their support and encouragement, and to Dr. Lamont and the Wingra Clinic staff. Clarence touched the hearts of many people, and will be greatly missed.
