Chou Ly

MADISON Chou Ly, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital in Madison. He was born in Laos on Dec. 26, 1947, the oldest of three children to Mai Vang and Tong Yee Ly. He was married to Va Xiong and they moved to the United States in 1980. Chou loved the adventure of the outdoors, deer and squirrel hunting and fishing were his favorites. Chou is survived by his wife, Va Xiong; sons, Tim (Julie), Bobby, Terry, Michael and Jason; daughters, Mai (Por), Ana (Dang), and Amy (Dustin); 21 grandchildren; and a brother, Jean-Paul Ly. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kou Ly Vang; and a son, Kua Ly. Traditional Hmong funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, starting Friday, July 6, 2018, and continuing until Monday, July 9, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. when we will process to Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, where Chou will be laid to rest. Visitation hours will be: Friday, July 6, 2018, from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, from 8 a.m. until Monday, July 9, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. Chou was a great husband, father and grandfather. We had a lifetime of memories with him, just sadden that we couldnt extend those memories. His smile and presence will be missed by his family and the community.
