MADISON - Charmayne C. Boldt, age 53 of Madison, formerly of Janesville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at her home. Charmayne was born in Hastings, Minn., on Nov. 6, 1964, the daughter of Carl W. and Arla Mae (Mandel) Boldt. Charmayne graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1983 and attended UW-Stout, pursuing a degree in electronic engineering. Following college, she worked at Visiting Nurse Services, Inc.; UW-Extension Research Lab; UW-Madison Ebling Library; and finally in human resources at the UW School of Medicine, Dept. of Surgery and retiring due to her health. Charmayne was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, all music, watching the Badgers and Packers play some good football, and staying in touch with her family and friends through Facebook and other social media. Charmayne would help anyone in need whether it was food, shelter, or monetarily. Her great-niece was the love of her life and she spent as much time with her as possible. Charmayne cheated death a number of times so she lived life and never let it pass her by. If she was told that something could not be done or that she could not do it; you can bet she was going to try to prove that she could do it or that it could be done. Life was lived on her terms and not standards set by others or society. Anyone who knew Charmayne will tell you that. Charmayne is survived by her siblings, Shane (Kathy Pate) Boldt, Darla Boldt, Corinne (Sean Merrigan) Boldt, Louis (Margie) Boldt; nieces and nephews, Chrystal (Jacob) Woolever, Drew Fish, CarrLena Boldt, Tabatha Boldt, Damian Boldt, Joshua James; a great-niece, Jacqueline Woolever; three step-sisters; four aunts; two uncles; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Arla Mae Boldt; step-mother, Donna Boldt; grandparents, Louis and Clara Boldt and Alfred and Lena Mandel.
