Charlene M. Bronson

MADISON – Charlene Marie Bronson, age 88, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Albany Oaks Assisted Living in Albany, Wis. Charlene was born in Madison, Wis., on Sept. 20, 1935, the daughter of Burnell and Ann (Nygaard) Larson.

Charlene graduated from Madison Central High School, class of 1953. She married Vernon R. Bronson on Dec. 30, 1955. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved giraffes. Charlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Charlene is survived by her three children, Rick (Cindy), of Rockford, Ill., Lori (Vern Felske) of Evansville, Wis., and Scott (Gloria) of Madison; seven grandchildren, Katy, Rachel, Joshua, Kaia, Sheena, Scott Jr., and Nicole; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; grandson, Schaun; sister, Patricia; and brother, John.

Visitation will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, starting at noon with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Madison.
